Take a virtual tour of our gallery in central Paris and discover the works of Katinka Bock. Der Sonnenstich is the first time she reveals her photographic practice. The exhibition brings together some sixty-five images made between 2015 and today, most of them have never been shown before.
Der Sonnenstich means “sunstroke” in German, but a more literal translation of the term would be “sunburn”. This title interested the artist for the state of trouble and discomfort it evokes, but also for its reference to the sun and light.
In the exhibition, Katinka Bock’s photographs are presented in a scenography that Katinka Bock has designed for the spaces of the Fondation Pernod Ricard.
