Pernod Ricard UK extends community support across London
On Thursday 25th May, 280 Pernod Ricard staff at its UK headquarters in Chiswick will be rolling up their sleeves and gearing up for a day of volunteering, supporting community partners across London in a diverse range of activities such as, rejuvenating a community farm in Kentish Town and clearing a nature reserve in Hounslow. Forming part of the company’s global initiative, 18,500 employees will spend a day away from their daily tasks to support their local communities through more than 100 initiatives worldwide.
The aim is to encourage employees to spread the company’s values of conviviality, good company and create social spaces for those who need them most. Amongst other projects teams will be renovating Kentish Town City Farm and maintaining a pony centre for children with learning and physical disabilities in White City. On top of this, for the first-time, the company will open the doors of its head office in Chiswick Park to run employability workshops, which will provide career advice, mentoring, CV support and mock interview role plays for those struggling to find work in the Chiswick community.
Laurent Pillet, Managing Director, Pernod Ricard UK, said, “We’re incredibly proud of this initiative and how it’s become such an ingrained and valued part of our business. Responsib’All Day allows us to maintain the positive relationships we have grown over the past seven years and develop wider connections to ensure we have the greatest impact on the projects we support. Our focus will be to share our conviviality and utilise the expertise every member of our team possesses, in order to generate rewarding results outside the parameters of our business.”
