- In a media first, passengers can donate to Stonewall via NFC chips integrated into bespoke vinyl ads on seats inside the buses

Absolut, the UK’s number one premium vodka brand1, is today launching the UK’s first digitally-enabled donation buses, which allow passengers to donate to Stonewall simply by tapping their smart phones on the back of the seat in front of them.
The four-week campaign, devised by Absolut, Exterion Media, Posterscope and Havas, includes two London buses wrapped in rainbow-flag colours and feature digital screens running geo-targeted messaging as they travel through central London. The buses will travel on route 14 and route 19, which both stop in Soho to ensure they are visible during two key LGBTQ festivals: London Pride (7th July) and Black Pride (8th July).
Utilising Exterion Media’s fleet of digital buses, on-board passengers will be encouraged to show their support for the LGBTQ community by donating seamlessly via whichever payment platform is automatically enabled on their phone, whether that is PayPal, Apple Pay or Android Pay – something that is made possible by tech company, Thyngs.
