St Hugo was launched to honour Hugo Gramp, the grandson of Johann Gramp who planted his first vines in the Barossa Valley in 1847. He took extreme pride in his craft, and with his drive for on-going quality improvements, Hugo quickly built the company into a pillar of the Australian wine industry. Every bottle of St Hugo is an acknowledgement of Hugo Gramp’s unwavering pursuit of the highest quality wines and his winemaking philosophies that are still respected by winemakers to this day.
