Irish Whiskey and coffee, a classic combination with a new twist

Jameson Irish Whiskey, which is produced by Irish Distillers in Midleton Distillery, has presented an innovative take on the classic combination of Irish whiskey and coffee; Jameson Cold Brew.

Following a successful pilot in Ireland in September 2018, Jameson Cold Brew will now pilot in Australia in May 2019. Jameson Cold Brew has been unveiled in response to the growing global appetite for Irish whiskey, quality coffee and coffee-driven cocktails such as the espresso martini.

Jameson Cold Brew is a combination of triple-distilled Jameson Irish Whiskey and refreshing cold brew coffee extract crafted from the finest, 100% Fairtrade arabica beans from Columbia and Brazil. The result is a new, smooth and premium Irish whiskey experience that delivers a bold coffee taste complemented by the vanilla nuttiness of Jameson and a warming mouthfeel on the finish.

Underpinning the long-standing association between Jameson and coffee, Jameson Cold Brew is best served chilled, over ice or in a coffee cocktail such as the Jameson Cold Fashioned, Jameson Cold Brewtini or the Jameson Cold Brew & Tonic.

The launch is set to inspire bartenders and appeal to lovers of whiskey, coffee and food with a new Jameson experience that can be enjoyed from day to night. Pernod Ricard Australia will be supporting the pilot with a series of Jameson Cold Brew brunches across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Jameson Cold Brew is set to tap into the rise in popularity of Irish whiskey, coffee and dining with friends in Australia, typified by all-day coffee shops that cater for both a daytime caffeine fix and evening cocktail experience. Bottled at 35% ABV, Jameson Cold Brew is a vegan, low sugar dry liqueur that will pilot with a national exclusive with Dan Murphy’s, at the RRP of $54, and in 30 key on trade accounts across the three key cities.
