Ever the perfectionist, founder John Duff took every step to ensure the best for his whisky. To this end, he built a railway station linking the distillery directly to the Great North of Scotland Railway local line in order to bring in the best ingredients and to export his precious liquid. The station closed in 1980, but the ticket office still remains on our site.
