On 20 June, Pernod Ricard Parisian Headquarters dedicated a day to circularity within the local community.
During the day, 750 employees worked in partnership with more than 15 charities making meals from unsold food for people in need, recycling fabrics to give them a second life, collecting litter in the city and making furniture from waste materials. This event also marked the launch of “The Good Fresk”, a collective intelligence workshop developed by the Group to train its employees. Inspired by the climate fresk and developed jointly with Sparknews, it aims at raising awareness among all Pernod Ricard employees on the social and environmental impact of the Group’s activities on the environment and how Pernod Ricard addresses them through its Sustainability & Responsibility roadmap.
Every employee and team across Pernod Ricard has a role to play in minimising waste at every step by imagining, producing and distributing its products and experiences in ways that optimise and help preserve natural resources. To reflect these commitments and involve all its staff, Responsib’All Day gives employees the opportunity to take a step back from their day-to-day work to get involved in a cause connected to its S&R roadmap.
Alexandre Ricard, Chairman and CEO said, “Responsib’All Day is one of those special moments in the year where we all come together to make a meaningful contribution, in line with our S&R roadmap ‘Good Times from a Good Place’. We are a responsible business, grounded in the real, we believe in making our brands in a way that preserves our planet and builds a resilient business for the future. This is why this year is all about circularity – how we design, make, and distribute our brands in a way that reduces waste, water consumption and carbon.”
Maria Pia De Caro, EVP Integrated Operations and S&R, said, “Every single day I am impressed by the commitment, creativity and passion for challenge that drives our teams in imagining and implementing new ways to produce, package and transport our iconic brands. This Responsib’All Day is all about challenging ourselves to minimise the resources we use and the waste we create at every step of our value chain. It is fantastic to see our employees once again getting wholeheartedly involved alongside charities and circular organisations to explore how we can promote a circular mindset not only in our own value chain but in local communities too.”
