CDP

In addition, Pernod Ricard recently received an A- score from CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) in its 2016 report on the fight against climate change. With an overall rating of A-, Pernod Ricard is one of the programme leaders, as the average rating is C. Companies considered as 'excellent' by CDP are those that have developed a specific strategy and actions to better manage climate change, whether it be for their own production sites or across the entire value chain. The A- rating equates to the 'Leadership' level in the CDP ranking. The CDP recognises our significant 25% reduction in CO2 emissions per unit produced on production sites between 2010 and 2016, and, our ambition to reach -30% before 2020. This rating has only been awarded to 17% of companies who answered the CDP questionnaire, and 26% of companies in the consumer goods industry.

Cédric Ramat, Human Resources and Sustainability & Responsibility Director, Pernod Ricard commented, 'We are proud that our actions have been acknowledged by both Vigeo Eiris and CDP, international reference bodies for CSR. This recognition confirms that corporate social responsibility is foremost in Pernod Ricard's strategic concerns. Reconciling economic efficiency, respect of stakeholders, environmental conservation, consumer protection, and the sharing of culture is a daily challenge.
