To kick off Spicy Summer, they’re throwing a free day party at Beresford Sundays on Sunday 15 November, headlined by an afternoon DJ set from Spice Girl and queer icon Melanie C.
Fresh off her euphoric ninth album Sweat, Melanie C is bringing its dancefloor energy to the decks at Beresford Sundays - Sydney’s quintessential Sunday session, and the latest stop for a DJ whose sets have spanned Ibiza to Coachella. Don’t miss the rare chance to catch one fifth of the best-selling girl group of all time - up close, for free, with a spicy drink in hand - just hours before she takes the stage at the Enmore Theatre that night, for the final show of her global Sweat tour.
Settle in for a full-venue takeover across two stages, taking you day-to-night across multiple floors. Downstairs from 12pm, an ode to Beresford Sundays and its 16 year history - more than just a party, it is a weekly celebration where music, entertainment, self-expression and community come together - with an honorary slot of legacy DJs Kadance, Colin Gaff, Alex Taylor, CallmeCHRS and Adam Love spinning through ‘til close, playing a classic blend of disco, house and pop. Upstairs opens at 1pm, with Melanie C’s headline set the centrepiece of the afternoon, but only the beginning of the party: eight of Beresford Sundays’ new resident queens Fairah Nuff, Kalin Klein, Danni Issues, Dammit Janet, Mynx Moscato, Karna Ford, April Mae June and Charlamaine will keep the stage alive into the night with large-scale productions and plenty of spicy crowd interaction, alongside DJs Hayday, Erfaan, Dingo Disco and Jordan Haych.
