Gregory Leymarie

GREGORY LEYMARIE 
Chief Executive Officer, Pernod Ricard South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa 
 

Prior to joining the company, Gregory produced and traded French wines in Bordeaux before moving to South Africa in 2009 to work for DGB (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town as the Area Director for Africa, Middle East and India. He joined the Pernod Ricard Group in 2012 as the Regional Director of Pernod Ricard South Central Africa, before moving to Ghana in 2016 to assume the position of Managing Director for Pernod Ricard West Africa. He stepped into his current position as Chief Executive Officer for Pernod Ricard South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa in November 2020. 

Gregory holds a Master’s degree in Management from SKEMA Business School in France.  

Vincent Meliet

VINCENT MELIET 
Chief Transformation Officer, Pernod Ricard South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa
  

Vincent’s career started at IBM, France in 2001 as a Business Analyst, where he later became the Account Manager. In 2006 he joined the Business Development team of Wavestone Consulting before becoming Sales Director in 2008. He joined the Group in 2010 as the Chief Information Officer of Ricard in 2010 before being appointed as Sales Development Director in 2015. Vincent moved to South Africa in 2017 as the Commercial Development Director for Pernod Ricard South Africa & Sub-Saharan Africa before being appointed in his most recent role as Chief Transformation Officer in April 2021. 

Vincent graduated as an engineer from Ecole Centrale d’Electronique de Paris and holds a Master’s in Economics from the Staffordshire University in England. 

Shireen Maharaj

SHIREEN MAHARAJ 
Human Resources Director, Pernod Ricard South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa 

Shireen started her career at SA Express Airways, working within their Operations Division before she moved to Human Resources. She then spent 13 years with Johnson & Johnson; first supporting their pharmaceutical business Janssen, before moving to Johnson & Johnson Medical as the Human Resources Director in 2009. She joined the Pernod Ricard Group in 2016 in her current capacity as Human Resources Director for Pernod Ricard South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. 

Shireen holds a BA Honours degree in Psychology from the University of KwaZulu Natal and a BA Honours degree in Human Resources Development from the University of Johannesburg. 

Ben Ojwang

BEN OJWANG 
Operations Director, Pernod Ricard South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa 

Ben has held a myriad of senior roles within the supply chain across various FMCG’s companies including Coca-Cola, Diageo and SAB where he was Logistics Director before joining Pernod Ricard as Operations Director South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa in May 2019.  

Ben holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree from the University of Natal. 

Sherman Mouton

SHERMAN MOUTON  
Commercial Director, Pernod Ricard South Africa  

Sherman Mouton started his career in 1998 at ABInbev, holding various roles in Marketing, prior to moving to Philip Morris International in 2009, where he spent a further 3 years as Head of Trade Marketing for South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. He joined Pernod Ricard South Africa in 2012 as the Trade Marketing Manager, moving to the Head of Retail role in 2015 and then to the position of Channel Director Off Trade in March 2017. In April 2021, he assumed his current position as Commercial Director for Pernod Ricard South Africa. 

Sherman has a Marketing qualification from Cape Town University of Technology and has completed a Management Development program with the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business. 

Gwen Morin

GWEN MORIN 
Chief Financial Officer, Pernod Ricard South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa 

Gwen started his career as a Tax Lawyer with Ernst & Young in 2007 before joining the Pernod Ricard Group in 2010 at the French Headquarters as Tax Manager. He was then appointed Tax Director of Pernod Ricard Americas in 2011, a job he held until 2014, at which point he moved back to Group Headquarters as Tax Director. Gwen moved to South Africa in 2018 to assume his current role as Chief Financial Officer for Pernod Ricard South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. 

Gwen holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Tax and Law from the University of Lyon, a Master’s Degree in Corporate Finance from EM Lyon Business School and qualified as a lawyer.
