Biography

Philippe Coutin is an engineer and trained agronomist. He joined Pernod Ricard after completing a mission with the VSNE international aid programme in 1991, where he was stationed in the Ivory Coast as an engineer with the Group Research Center. He was appointed General Manager of Pernod Ricard Trinidad in 1995 before moving to Russia as the General Manager of the local subsidiary in 1999, later becoming Managing Director of Havana Club International in 2004.

From 2006 to 2013 he headed the Spanish subsidiary and the Group’s Iberia cluster before returning to Russia a second time in 2013 as Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Rouss and the Eastern Europe Management Entity.

He was appointed Chairman of the Ricard and Pernod companies on July 1st, 2019, becoming Chairman of Pernod Ricard France at the merger of these two companies on July 1st, 2020.
