Ostoya Vodka – Wyborowa Pernod Ricard strengthens its portfolio of Polish Vodkas

Article 13/04/2015

Wyborowa Pernod Ricard is an expert in the sector of Polish Vodkas. The beginning of March saw the launch of the first Polish Vodka made from wheat in the company's offer. OSTOYA is a vodka from the top premium segment and has an intensively creamy and mild taste.

ostoyaOstoya is the essence of Polish nature

The inspiration to create a new and unique product in the company portfolio came from Polish nature and the Bieszczady region. The bottle sports the inscription 'The Essence of Polish Nature' and a painted image of the mountains. The bottle encapsulates the highest quality vodka produced from wheat grown in Bieszczady. The product took nearly two years to develop.

We set ourselves an ambitious goal ' to introduce the first wheat Polish Vodka into our portfolio. OSTOYA is made from top class crops from Bieszczady ' one of the most pristine areas of Poland and the entire production process of the vodka takes place domestically. The effect of our work is an incredibly creamy and mild vodka with a velvety texture and
a long warming up finish. '

Dorota Durakiewicz, Senior Brand Manager of Prestige Vodkas

Ostoya is a Polish Vodka for the most discerning customers

The introduction of a new premium product to the portfolio stems from following a consistent premumisation strategy of the Wyborowa Pernod Ricard offer and its intention to strengthen and expand its assortment of vodkas.

We are watching the Polish market closely and keeping track of the changing consumption trends ' Poles are now looking for premium-quality high-end products which meet their growing expectations both in terms of substance as well as design. One of the prevailing trends is increased interest in the place of origin of products. Today, Poles are choosing Polish brands more often than ever. That is the reason why we are thrilled to introduce our new OSTOYA brand which fulfils all the statutory criteria and can proudly be called a Polish Vodka. It means the vodka is produced with exclusively Polish crops in the territory of Poland. '

The alcohol, the idea for which originated in Poland, is made from Bieszczady wheat and is produced in the Wyborowa Pernod Ricard production plant in Zielona Góra. The product is available in 0.5 l and 0.7 l bottles and as a gift pack in a decorative box. Sales will be conducted via modern trade, traditional trade and the duty free channel. Since its launch OSTOYA has already been awarded a silver medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition ' one of the most prestigious industry competitions.
