Pernod Ricard UK strengthens The Gin Hub Senior Management Team amidst plans to acquire Italian super-premiun gin, Malfy
Pernod Ricard UK has today confirmed another key appointment to The Gin Hub’s Senior Leadership Team. The announcement comes as the company is due to close on an acquisition deal to add Malfy Gin to its growing global portfolio.
Lee James, previously Global Fine Wine Director, Pernod Ricard Winemakers, has been appointed to the position of Market Activation Director, The Gin Hub. James will join The Gin Hub’s Senior Management Team, based in London, reporting to Managing Director Louise Ryan. James will be responsible for developing and leading global market activation and engagement strategies to grow The Gin Hub’s Premium+ brand portfolio, which includes: Beefeater, Plymouth, Seagram’s (outside of the USA), and Malfy Gin.
James joined the Pernod Ricard Group in 2005, carrying out a number of senior customer development and commercial roles at Pernod Ricard UK. Transferring to Premium Wine Brands as International Brand Development Director EMEA in 2012, he then moved to Sydney in 2014; where he led Pernod Ricard Winemakers’ Australian and New Zealand visitor centres, as well as its global activation and advocacy agenda, including the Graduate Wine Ambassador Programme.
In his most recent role, he was responsible for the strategy, growth and long term development plan of the Pernod Ricard Winemakers fine wine portfolio,including: St. Hugo, Ysios, Church Road and Kenwood.
