JAMESON BRINGS CONVENIENCE TO THE IRISH WHISKEY CATEGORY WITH NEW READY TO DRINK CANS

Jameson, the UK’s number one Irish whiskey[1], has unveiled a new premium, on-the-go offering to the category with the launch of its ready to drink (RTD) cans which are exclusively available to the UK. Jameson is set to further increase excitement and engagement around Irish whiskey by tapping into the growing RTD can market, worth over £95m[2] .

 

Currently outperforming total RTD bottle sales (-12%2), RTD cans are showing continual growth and popularity in the category (+14%2). Jameson is tapping into this huge opportunity by revealing two exciting new RTD flavours to its portfolio; Classic Cola and Ginger & Lime.

 

This brand new range of Jameson drinks sit within the refreshed family and have been launched to recruit younger consumers into the Irish whiskey category.  Creating a more convenient solution for the on-the-go lifestyle of young males aged 25-34, Jameson RTD cans are set to further grow interest amongst RTD shoppers; driving incremental spirits sales of Jameson Original as a result.
