Shares are considered registered when the shareholder’s name is known by the issuing company. These shares may be held as:
- direct registered shares
Your Pernod Ricard shares are registered directly in the Company’s share registry and managed by Société Générale, as authorised by Pernod Ricard.
Benefits:
- no service charges or running costs,
- personal invitation to attend Annual General Meetings. Registered shareholders receive personal invitations to shareholder meetings. They are listed on attendance rolls and do not need to have their shares certified. To attend the Annual General Meeting, they simply request an admission card.
Holding direct registered shares in 5 steps:
Contact Société Générale Securities Services by phone:
- 0 800 11 97 57 (toll-free within France),
- +33 (0)2 51 85 67 89 for calls from outside France.
The bank will send by post:
- Direct Registered Share Account Agreement, required for new shareholders,
- Share purchase order form.
Fill in the documents mentioned above, then sign, date and return them to Société Générale with a 50% down-payment (in euros), by bank transfer or cheque.
The order is placed with the stock market once the application has been verified and funds have been received.
Once the order has been completed, you will receive a registered account transaction statement indicating the outstanding balance. Payment is due upon receipt of this statement.
- intermediary registered shares
Intermediary registered shares refer to those registered in the company’s share registry but held by your financial intermediary, which manages the account on your behalf.
Under the terms of this arrangement, shareholders are required to pay any service charges levied by their bank. Intermediary registered shareholders are invited to Annual General Meetings in the same manner as registered shareholders.
Holding bearer shares
Shares are considered bearer when they are held by the financial intermediary who manages your account. Bearer shareholders are not known by name to Pernod Ricard.
Bearer shareholders may buy or sell shares on the stock market through financial intermediaries, banks or brokerage firms.
